Firefox 的 about 协议

在浏览器的地址栏中输入 about: 开关的地址时，会显示相应的信息。

让 Firefox 只下载当前页面的文本内容

不想让Firefox 下载图片，想禁止加载 stylesheet，想禁止执行 JavaScript 脚本。这些都可以通过下面的方式实现。

编辑 about:config ， 添加以下配置。

permissions.default.image 2                  # 图片
permissions.default.object  2                # flash等
permissions.default.script 2                 # 脚本
permissions.default.stylesheet 2 
permissions.default.subdocument 2
permissions.default.objectsubrequest 2
permissions.default.other 2

# permissions.default.document

关于设置的值：

• 1: Allow all images to load, regardless of origin. (Default) 允许所有图片。
• 2: Block all images from loading. 禁止所有图片。
• 3: Prevent third-party images from loading. 禁止来自于第三方网站的图片。

参考 Permissions.default.image

设置为1，以便于人的阅读；设置为2，便于内容抽取。

其他有用的配置

• network.prefetch-next = false 禁止预先读取页面
• network.http.pipelining = true

Multiple Profile 多个配置文件

Firefox允许用户定义多个不后的配置文件(Profile)，每个配置可以有不同的插件、书签、设置等。

启动Firefox时，可以通过使用-ProfileManager选项打开配置文件管理器。

如果没有看到配置文件管理器，则可能是因为有开着的Firefox进程。这种情况下可以使用-no-remote选项。

在 Mac OS 中的方法是

/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -ProfileManager
